Thalapathy Vijay, the popular Tamil actor, is celebrating his 49th birthday amidst much anticipation for his upcoming film, Leo. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Leo is a gangster drama and serves as the second collaboration between Vijay and Lokesh after their successful film, Master. The first look poster of Leo was unveiled on Vijay’s birthday, showcasing the actor in an intense and action-packed avatar. The poster features Vijay wielding a blood-coated sledgehammer, engaging in a high-voltage fight sequence, with a wolf standing behind him in a jungle. The intriguing caption reads, “In the world of untamed rivers, calm waters either become divine Gods or dreaded demons.”

Leo is set to release in theaters on October 19 and will be a part of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s cinematic universe. Alongside Vijay, the film features a talented ensemble cast, including Sanjay Dutt, who reportedly plays the role of Vijay’s father in the movie. However, the character is more than just a traditional father figure, as both Dutt and Vijay portray gangster roles and share a unique dynamic within the film. The story of Leo remains tightly guarded, but reports suggest that Vijay will portray a gangster in his 40s, living in Kashmir and running a chocolate factory as a means to distance himself from the mafia world.

Joining the cast of Leo is actress Trisha, adding to the excitement surrounding the film. Produced by S.S Lalit Kumar’s 7 Screen banner, the action thriller boasts music composed by the talented Anirudh Ravichander, who previously collaborated with Vijay and Lokesh on films like Kaththi and Master.

Manoj Paramahamsa handles the cinematography, while Philomin Raj takes charge of the editing. Dinesh choreographs the dance sequences. Anirudh Ravichander, who has previously worked with both Lokesh and Vijay on films like Master and Kaththi, composes the music for Leo, adding to the anticipation surrounding the film.
